This new chapter of Kiki’s started when she felt a strong attraction to a man. He was an artist and the vibrations she felt in that attraction were so strong, they were easily confused with the early sensations of Unconditional Love that one feels from their Divine Soul. She wasn’t looking to consummate the attraction in a sexual sense, but the sensations were strong enough to seduce her into shifting her focus away from her Divine Soul Knowing and look to the artist for the flow of Unconditional Love.

She felt a longing from deep within to communicate with him on heartfelt levels. He was an artist so she began to express herself through his kind of art in the hopes of consummating the connection she yearned for. She learned his techniques and it gave them something to talk about. It still wasn’t what she was looking for, but the yearning drove her to keep trying.

What she REALLY wanted was to communicate fully with her Divine Soul, but she was looking in the wrong direction and projecting that desire onto the artist.

When it finally became clear that the connection she sought wasn’t with the artist, she had to deal with the pain of that unfulfilled dream. Because her resistance was strong, it wasn’t easy. But the solution was simple. She released it to Divine Light Vibrations for transformation into illumination. She continued playing with her art, and was doing some wonderful work, but it naturally petered out because the motivation she once had wasn’t there.

By the time she came to me for a 1-on-1 session, she was at her wit’s end. She wanted to know where she was off-base. What was she doing wrong?

Even if I didn’t have experience speaking vibrationally with people’s Divine Souls, I could have seen that she was looking in the wrong direction by her body language and choice of words. She was mostly in her head, not her heart.

As she described her situation, her eyes looked upwards towards her ego-intellect and not downwards towards her Divine Soul Knowing. Her hands were frenetic as they waved in the air. She was using a lot of “buts” to negate what she’d just said. In short, and after she’d calmed down, what came out of that session was this: In her art, she determined that she’d been creating it 60% with her ego-intellect and 40% from Divine Soul guidance. At first, she saw that percentage as a kind of “failure” because it was more ego-intellect than Divine Soul guidance.

NO!

What it meant was her Divine Soul had already been trying to communicate with her. She simply hadn’t thought to pay attention in that way. She’d been too involved in trying to connect with the artist.

Our Divine Souls will speak to us in a language particular to each person. They always have and always will. It’s a simple question of waking up to understand it. In Kiki’s case, her Divine Soul asked me to suggest that she pose a question and then let her Divine Soul answer her through the drawing.

At first, Kiki felt deluded to think she couldn’t listen directly like I do. In that moment, she’d slipped into Stage One of a Spiritual Awakening where she was fighting the Light. But each of us is different. Unique. We need to learn to celebrate our uniqueness, not necessarily squeeze into the module that we see other people doing.

Releasing the entire experience to Divine Light Vibrations for transformation into illumination has brought her to a whole new level. She’s circled back to the basics and is loving the process as she sails merrily along deep into Stage Two of finding the Light.

Today, Kiki popped me an update. She started with a very specific and clear request to her Divine Soul, one she truly wanted from her heart of hearts and was willing to have. My heart sang when I read it! Once again, she’s looking in the right direction!

“Show me the key,” she asked her Divine Soul, “to having a direct dialogue with You, one that’s fluid, clear, and beyond any doubt.”

When she pulled out a sheet of blank paper, she began to approach her designs in a whole new way.

She’s taking it step by step, finishing one aspect and waiting for her Divine Soul to guide her on the next. Her curiosity is ignited. She has no expectations of the finished product so the results are different. She’s following the impulse to use her knowledge of vibrational sound through singing, so she sings notes as she designs. Basically, Kiki’s Divine Soul is using both channels of art and song simultaneously to speak to her.

Following your Divine Soul guidance can be like listening to a story unfold, not knowing where it’s going to end and what the final message will be. When small flashes of illumination come, Kiki is patient, knowing that full understanding will come at the story’s end.

In Kiki’s words, “It’s crazy and so illuminating! My sense of exploration is like that of a child in a room filled with toys! Amazing!”

I wrote back with a huge smile in my heart:

Look how many Principles you’re putting into action, and in such a refined manner. Brava!

 The new steps of Personal Illumination that Kiki practiced.

• The value of curiosity when married with patience.

• The value of looking in the right direction towards her Divine Soul, and not to someone (or something) outside of her.

• The value of asking the right question.

• The results were different because her intention was different.

• The fact that her intention was full of real curiosity to truly understand, the information came out with less filters to muddy the message.

• The fact that she was willing to move forward step by step—without understanding where it was going—created new spaces in her consciousness for new personal illuminations to rise up.

• The fact that she took it one step at a time, then waiting to be guided on the next step, is exactly how it works when getting new information from your Divine Soul.

Action Plan

Because knowledge without action is a Mind Game at best.

Your next step for personal illumination.

• Read the list of steps that Kiki took for her personal illumination. Choose one that you’d like to try with more conscious intent.

• Release any past conditioning that’s holding you back. (It’s enough to decide you don’t want to live under its weight any more, and then let the sensations from the meditation flow through you.)

• Ask Divine Light Vibrations to transform it into illumination. (If you can’t articulate the past conditioning that’s holding you back, ask your Infinite Divine Soul Knowing to choose for you. Your ego intellect will recognize what it was later.)

• Ask your Divine Soul to show you the new way.

Then pay attention to what comes to mind either as an idea, a vision, a thought, a sensation. She/He will speak to you in a language you’ll be able to understand. Trust the process. Be curious!
